The Brazilian Football Club is a prominent for integrating the best of Brazilian and European football: Brazilian talent and European organisation, with the objective of winning competitions through a different style of play and organisation. Due to the uniqueness of the Brazilian Football Club, it also seeks to develop the Football “Show”. Since it began, it can be said that the philosophy and projects of the Brazilian Football Club are “more than football”, it's Art, it's Show! To do this Brazilian FC will teach and train future players and managers. |
O Brazilian Football Club é notório por integrar o melhor do futebol brasileiro e europeu: o talento brasileiro e a organização européia, com o objetivo de vencer os campeonatos através de uma estilo diferente de jogo e estruturação. Devido a essa diferenciação do Brazilian Football Club, é também procurado desenvolver o "Futebol Show". Desde o início é dito que a filosofia e o projeto do Brazilian Football Club é "mais que futebol", é arte, é Show! Para tanto, o Brazilian FC ensina e treina futuros jogadores e técnicos. |

Brazilian Football Club was founded at 10th May 2003. The first training session was at John Orwell Sports Centre in Wapping, on a Sunday afternoon, at 2 pm, and there were 36 athletes present. When Paulo Cezar Batista, president and founder of Brazilian Football Club, arrived in London in 2001 he was planning to study European football as an organization/business, he decided to do it in London paying homage to Charlles Muller, an englishman that introduced football in Brazil. However, Paulo Cezar inverted the situation: he brought football back to England, specially for Brazilians had developed it so well by winning 5 World Cups. Perhaps it's now time for retribution England for what they presented to Brazilians. Paulo Cezar says: "I don't agree with the word `team` but `club` for this is the central idea. A team involves only players that are together to play. A Club has much more involved". He remembers in the first training session, they had no money to rent the pitch (it costs £60), then three people promptly paid £20 for the place. They were Paulo Cezar, Edilson Struett and Helio dos Santos. After four weeks training Curtis Inghram, an Englishman, observing how skilled our athletes were with the ball, he suggested the club enrolls into a League, for, according to him, the team could have good chances to win all matches. |
O Brazilian Football Club foi fundado no dia 10 de Maio de 2003. A primeira sessão de treinamento foi no John Orwell Sports Centre em Wapping, num domingo a tarde, o treino começou as 14 horas e teve a presença de 36 atletas no primeiro treino. Quando chegou a Londres em 2001, Paulo Cezar Batista, presidente-fundador do Brazilian Football Club tinha a idéia de apenas estudar o futebol europeu como organização/empresa, decidiu fazer isso em Londres, em homenagem a Charlles Muller, um britânico que a mais de 100 anos atrás levou o futebol da Inglaterra para o Brasil, portanto resolveu fazer o contrário: trazer o futebol de volta à Inglaterra, especialmente pelo fato dos brasileiros terem desenvolvido o futebol tão bem, vencendo 5 copas do mundo, talvez tivesse chegado a hora de retribuir aos ingleses, o que fizeram pelos brasileiros. Paulo Cezar afirma, "Não gosto muito da palavra 'Time' e sim de 'Clube' pois esta é a idéia central, um time envolve apenas jogadores que se unem para jogar, mas o clube é algo muito mais abrangente". Lembra que, para o primeiro treino, não tinham o dinheiro para pagar o aluguel do campo, que custava £60 libras, e aí três pessoas se prontificaram a pagar o local, cada um oferecendo £20 libras, estes foram: ele mesmo, Edilson Struett e Hélio dos Santos. Após quatro semanas de treino um inglês chamado Curtis Inghram observou que nossos atletas eram bons de bola, e sugeriu à equipe que entrassem numa liga, pois, segundo ele, teriam condições de ganhar os jogos. |

At first, the League was surprised with our decision applying a team of Brazilian players to play in the Middlesex League, predominantly full of English teams. They couldn't believe we would really do it. The League demanded we produce the files of all our athletes and the kind of structure we would have to play into the English Championship. They should been thinking: Who are they to play in an Official League in England? We produced the documents of our athletes, officials, training ground, playing pitch and an official sponsor (Uno Money Transfer, in that time). We'd been accepted and played the season so well that we won the championship for the first time, in our first season. Since then the League learned who are "the Boys from Brazil". |
A princípio, a Liga se surpreendeu com a decisão de uma equipe de brasileiros se inscrever para jogar na Liga Middlesex, predominantemente inglesa, e talvez não acreditaram que fossem mesmo fazer isso. A Liga solicitou que apresentassem o cadastro de todos os atletas, e que tipo de estrutura teriam para jogar o campeonato inglês, como se estivessem dizendo: Quem são vocês para jogar a Liga oficial da Inglaterra? Apresentamos nossos atletas, comissão técnica, centro de treinamento, campo de jogo, e ainda um patrocinador oficial (na época a Uno Money Transfer) e aí fomos aceitos, jogamos a competição e fomos campeões pela primeira vez na Inglaterra, já logo na primeira temporada. A partir de então a Liga passou a saber quem realmente nós somos, e passaram a nos chamar "The Boys from Brazil". |
